Today, March 5th, is National Absinthe Day! Says who? Hey, what’s with the questions? I’m encouraging you to drink Absinthe on a Friday!
Truth is, it’s been a long week, it’s my birthday Sunday, and I’m already mentally preparing for a cruise I’ll be embarking on next Wednesday, so forgive me if I jump at the chance to celebrate this pseudo-holiday. And I’ll be doing so with an Absinthe Curacao Frappe—you can try this one or grab your Absinthe drink-of-choice.
Absinthe Curacao Frappe:
1 part Pernod Absinthe
½ part Hiram Walker Orange Curacao
½ part Lemon Juice
1 part Orange Juice
Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a coupe filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a thin orange slice, if you’re feeling fancy.
