Friday Feature Cocktail: Faux Berri- Kir

It’s not New Year’s Eve just yet, but this weekend is the last weekend of 2013! 2013 has been an excellent year full of many wonderful weekends, so as I ready myself for the New Year ahead, I will make one last toast to the weekends of 2013.

  • 1.5 parts Absolut Berri Açai
  • .5 part Hiram Walker Raspberry Schnapps
  • 1 Squeeze Lemon Juice
  • Top with Perrier-Jouet Champagne

Shake and strain ingredients except chilled sparkling wine. Top with sparkling wine.

Friday Feature Cocktail: Winter Spice Sangria

Holiday party season is in full swing! Tonight I will be hosting a party of my own, and with the role of host comes a lot of responsibilities (prepping food, picking the music, deciding on party entertainment). That’s why I like to mix up large format cocktails ahead of time in order to take the role of bartender off my plate. Since Sangria is not just for summer, I will be mixing up a Winter Spice Sangria!

  • 1 Bottle Of Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto
  • 4oz Hiram Walker Original Cinn Schnapps
  • 3 Clementines, Quartered
  • 6oz Cranberries
  • 18oz Sparkling Clemetine Juice Or Soda
  • 6oz Cranberry Juice
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • Ground Allspice To Taste

Directions:  Combine Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto, cinnamon schnapps, clementine pieces, cranberries, cranberry juice and cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher. Cover tightly and place in the refirgerator for at least 8 hours. Right before serviing, add sparkling clementine juice/soda. Sprinkle allspice on top

  • ¾ part Hiram Walker Black Raspberry
  • ¾ part Hiram Walker Crème de Cacao
  • 4 parts Hot Coffee

Pour into a coffee mug and serve

  • 1 part Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
