Friday Feature Cocktail: The Pumpkin Eater

It’s my favorite day of the week again folks! It’s Friday! Dust off your cocktail shakers and get your glasses ready for another round of Friday’s Feature Cocktail!

The leaves outside have taken over driveways, sidewalks and lawns and fall is in full swing. Which in my mind means that pumpkin season is in full swing as well. This weekend I will be getting my pumpkin fix through a nice Pumpkin Eater cocktail!

Not the prettiest cocktail, but the taste of Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice makes up for it!

Celebrating Veteran’s Day with a ‘Homecoming Hero’

Today I will be raising my glass to toast our veterans, and those who are still serving our country. As the granddaughter of two WWII veterans, and a friend of many who are still serving our country today, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all who have/are/will serve!

This one’s for you:

Serve over ice in a rocks glass, garnish with a cherry.

Cheers and thank you veterans!

Friday Feature Cocktail: Whipped Russian

Every once in a while Friday rolls around and there is nothing I look forward to more than a night of doing absolutely nothing. Today is one of those Friday’s, and I have decided that a Whipped Russian is going to be my cocktail of choice tonight. This sweet twist on the White Russian is the perfect drink to accompany me as I cozy up under a blanket on the couch, where I’ll most likely spend my night watching my DVDs of Friday Night Lights.

Hiram Walker’s sweet twist on the White Russian using Hiram Walker Whipped Liqueur.

Whipped Russian

Shake well with ice.  Strain over crushed ice and serve

The coffee flavor of the Kahlua and cream, spiked with the sweetness of Hiram Walker Whipped Liqueur provides a delicious combination of flavor for a crisp autumn night. The Whipped Russian is also a tasty treat after dinner if you prefer liquid desserts like I do!!

Also, a reminder to those interested in winning an iPad, there are still a few days left to submit your photos of Hiram Walker Whipped to the ‘Whip Things Up!’ Contest! All photos must be submitted by October 31, so this weekend is a great opportunity to have some fun whipping up your best photos! Check out more information HERE or HERE!

Enjoy 🙂

Friday Feature Cocktail: Pumpkin Eater

Everywhere I look pumpkin flavored drinks are taking over, whether it’s coffee or beer it seems as though summer drinks are out and fall drinks have moved in. I suppose that is another thing I will admit I love about the fall, I am a pumpkin fanatic (especially when it comes to my grandma’s pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, they are the best cookies around!)  So after waking up with my first pumpkin coffee of the season and enjoying my first pumpkin ale, I am slowly getting into the spirit of fall (although I’m sure I will go back to being bitter about it the first day the weather drops below 750)

In my attempt to embrace the fall instead of shunning it, today’s Friday Feature Cocktail is a Pumpkin Eater!

Not the prettiest cocktail, but the taste of Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice makes up for it!

Even though the leaves are not falling, and the temperatures are still hot and sticky, I hope you enjoy the beginning of pumpkin season everyone 🙂
