We’re noticing a change in today’s cocktail culture (yes, the pun was very much intended…). It seems at times that craft cocktail recipes today are a bit extravagant, but things can be simplified. The folks at Hiram Walker couldn’t agree more, encouraging the home bar enthusiast to focus more on the freshness and details of simple cocktails, rather than create recipes with eight-, nine-, even 10 ingredients per drink. Of course, no Simpletini is complete without the perfect combination of ingredients. But don’t take our word for it – we want to hear from you!
Hiram Walker has teamed with Drink of the Week to present the Simpletini Contest, a call-out to home mixologists to create a new drink recipe with no more than three ingredients. First prize is both a cocktail blender and Boston shaker, courtesy of Hiram Walker.
Drink of the Week has the full scoop here on how to submit your drink recipe and photo. You have until July 17th to send in your cocktail recipe.
And, lastly, here is a recipe to get the juices (and spirits, and liqueurs…) flowing.
The Pometini
1 part ABSOLUT® Vodka
1 part Hiram Walker® Pomegranate Schnapps
Shake and strain into martini glass, garnish with lemon wedge

Pometini, nice! I love the name. I will surely give this a go. I have to ask hubby to grab one of those Pomegranate Schnapps on his way home from his business trip. He’s due to arrive tomorrow. He can’t refuse that because he owed me for extending his trip for 2 more days.
Anyway, once I get to taste my pometini, I’ll be happy.
